How we collect, use, and protect your information when you reserve a session and receive your Whitberg Profile.

Who we are

Whitberg is a reservation-based relational-profiling service operating from New York. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you reserve a session, take part in the interview process, and receive your Profile.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, contact details, billing information, and scheduling preferences when you make a reservation.
  • Interview content: audio recordings, transcripts, and the responses you give across your three sessions. Because the subject of the interview is your romantic and relational history, this information can be personal and sensitive in nature.
  • Profile data: the observations and assessments we produce from your interviews, and the Profile we deliver to you.
  • Technical data: device, browser, and usage information collected automatically when you visit this site, including through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your information

  • To schedule and conduct your sessions.
  • To produce, deliver, and store your Profile.
  • To process payment for your reservation.
  • To communicate with you about your reservation and Profile.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the service.
  • To meet our legal, accounting, and compliance obligations.

The basis for processing

We process your interview content and produce your Profile on the basis of the contract between us and your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interests for security and service improvement, and on legal obligation for accounting and compliance.

Recording and consent

Your sessions are recorded so they can be transcribed and analyzed. We ask for your consent before recording begins, and you may decline or end a session at any time.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with: service providers who host, transcribe, process payments, or otherwise operate the service under confidentiality obligations; our professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires. If our business is transferred, information may pass to a successor under the terms of this policy.

Retention

We keep your interview content and Profile for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. You may request earlier deletion, as described below.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@whitberg.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from those where you live. We take steps to ensure it remains protected.

Children

Our service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the date shown above.
